London Brass for the first time in the Czech Republic

Almost 40 years of top concert performance. That’s a simple way to describe London Brass. The orchestra was formed in 1986 from the players of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble, one of the top players in their field since the 1950s. Today, London Brass includes some of the finest brass performers from across the UK and from a variety of musical genres: contemporary, classical, jazz, pop and the much-hyped film music in Britain. London Brass is reviewed in the world’s most prestigious periodicals. The New York Times, for example, has described them as “the most classical brass ensemble of our time.”

London Brass have performed on some of the most important stages, including the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, the Barbican, Westminster Abbey and have played at 10 Downing Street, the home of the British Prime Ministers. They are the orchestra of choice for some of the world’s most prestigious events such as the BBC Proms, and have performed in the main programme at Queen Elizabeth II’s Jubilee and also for the Pope’s visit to Britain.
