The educational concert of the chamber group Moravia Brass Band popularizes the playing of brass instruments among young listeners. The concert not only introduces basic brass instruments such as trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, but also related instruments – piccolo trumpet, flugelhorn, euphonium, tenor tuba and others, but also shows the instruments in their natural environment.
That is, it introduces children to the multi-genre overlap of these interesting instruments through arrangements of classical, film, jazz and folk music. The aim is also to cover the connections between Czech brass music and the so-called Balkan music, which is inseparable from brass instruments, and at the same time draws attention to the fact that music is all around us. The concert is engagingly introduced by Jiří Kokmotos and there is a percussion section which underlines the atmosphere of the whole concert.

You can come to the concert as part of the BRNO BRASS FEST on Thursday 12 June 2025 at Biskupský dvůr.
